Welcome to the Energy Efficiency Monitoring System pilot web portal for the industrial sector. The purpose of this portal is to capture the data required by the Department of Energy for the purposes of developing a sectoral overview of the energy efficiency of the sector. In this way, annual trends can be analysed to establish whether the aspirational targets defined in the National Energy Efficiency Strategy 2005 are being met. The results of the analysis will only be used in an aggregated form and will feed into policy discussions that will support the commitment of the Government of South Africa to manage energy consumption.
